Sailor Fuku A Type of Girls' Japanese School Uniform

I wish that schools would at least be stricter about the dress clothes. When I pick up my little sis from
middle school, I am appalled to see 11-13 year old girls wearing miniskirts, spaghetti straps, and those tight
polo shirts that you unbutton all the way down. The also seem to exude coyishly sexual behavior, like bending
over while wearing these clothes b/c they "accidentally" dropped something. Lolita complex, anyone?
The age of puberty seems to be dropping precipitiously as well. I know girls who started menstruating at age 8.
Must be the hormones in the beef.
I'd let my daughters dress like that... IF THEY AGREED TO WEAR THEM
WHILE BEING LOCKED IN A ROOM!!! I mean, make them wait till they're further into the teen
years!!!

Both my
sisters went to Japanese high schools without uniforms, well one of them had a uniform that was mandatory for
ceremonies (twice a year?) and you could choose to wear it or not on any other day. Not really a
"uniform" when it's optional, I guess. The key was that my sisters went to Tokyo-to run public
schools, not private ones. The public schools in Tokyo seem to have more freedom than most other schools in
Japan.

too short.
I have those wrinkly socks ( I forget what they're called), the Scottish style skirt, the
vest, and the necktie. It took me a week to find those mocassins.
I used to wear that outfit with my
Japanese friend, and we'd think we were so cool. I'd feel a little naked in them. But she was always
more gyaru
In the U.S. they
were called "scrunch socks" and were a fad for ladies who were into aerobics long before Jgyaru
started wearing them w/ penny loafers.
In my mind uniforms aren't a bad thing at all, esp in the US.
Parents are having to spend way too much money for their kids' apparel in order to keep up w/ trends and so
their kids won't get ragged on by peers. JPN should loosen its rules I think in order to somewhat change
the perception of having to be part of the group and not stressing individuality enough.

I find
it strange that (some) Japanese high school girls roll up their skirts to convert them to mini skirts but then
carry their bag behind them when climbing stairs to hide their pants!
Do girls in the west do this? I don't think I ever noticed a girl walking
up stairs holding her skirt down back home.
Maybe I wasn't skebe back then, I think I'm being
coerced into thinking looking up girls' skirts is fun
I need to get out of this country! :help:
You know how MegaMan / Rockman has those huge space boots? The ones that envelop his legs
up to his knees? These remind me of that.
As for that . . . ganguro . . . thing . . . it reminds me of the
girls who get those rub-on tan things that look horrible in sunlight and downright radioactive under flourescent
lighting, except this is far worse. It looks like a blind epileptic prostitute did her makeup, which merely adds
to the similarity.
Japanese women, used to whiten their faces and blacken their teeth. They have actually
regressed. Even goth girls can look pretty. Hell, even goth guys can be pretty, as I discovered much to my
chagrin.

It's amazing because guys always say that they like girls with no makeup, but what most men don't
realize is that many girls (especially in Japan?) try real hard to make it seem as though they're not really
wearing makeup and that's what most men actually refer to when they say they like the "natural"
look. It's called "natural makeup" or something. Women are smarter than men, always.
