Definition of Maru

Wondering if anyone can shed light of the definition of Maru...

I've an idea it can mean a multitude of things, but I'm particularly interested in ships...
Our old friend wikipedia says maru....丸, means "circle" and Nippon Maru was Hideyosji's flagship.... with circle being a reference to castles.....

Some one told me that "west" maru in a castle might be where a daimyo's/shogun's son might be kept... I assumed this means kept within the western walls or bailey of a castle????

And nowadays when you mention maru, people would automatically think of a small boat, may be a fishing boat, owned by one guy..... ie all by itslf and not in a fleet?

Any ideas people?

近い将来に米ドルのハイパーインフレになる可能性について研究しているのですが、皆様は此の事について、どう思いますが。　日銀と連邦準備銀行の量的緩和政策を比較分析の研究中なのですが、どっちの国も、お金を物凄く増やし、どっちの国の国内総生産の１００％以上増やしているのに、何故米ドルのほうが、値打ちがハイパーインフレの理由で値打ちが下がる可能性が日本円よりも高いのでしょうか。そして、米ドルは当時、世界の基軸通貨の得点が日本円よりあるのに何故、日本円は十年間以上も不景気が続きぱなしで、日銀が、お金を国内総生産のパーセントから分析すると連邦準備銀行程増やしているのに、日本円はハイパーインフレにならず、逆に経済がデフレの状態のままで安定出来ていられるのでしょうか。

今フールトの作曲に日本語のタイトルを付けたいんだけど，英語の "erratic" でいい訳あるかな？
Freetranslationの通訳サイトでチェックしたんだけど "放逸" とかあまりキャラクター的にいい訳が見つからないんで。

"Erratic behavior" とかで使うから”態度が落ちつかない”って感じに訳したいんだけど一つの言葉である？

今 worldlingo.com で“風変わり”ってでました。これでいいかもしれないけど、他にいい言葉思いつきますか？

i am curious, but does anyone on here speak more than one japanese language or dialects? if so, from where? eastern, western, hiroshima, etc?

i grew up in the country in japan. everytime we went into tokyo when i was a kid... heck, basically any other city, i had no idea what they were talking about. of course i knew konichiwa, sayonara, and all the rudimentaries, but beyond that, nada. even to this day as i come into more contact with mainstream japanese culture, i still can't comprehend most japanese speakers. but i think i am becoming more forgetful or forgotten since i do not speak my mother-tongue anymore in my aging state! :-)

anyway, just interesting to see what responses i get.

Hey there Halvsies...

I was reading the newspaper that I write for (hokubeinews.com)
and found an article about cooking... well, there was a word like "mazeru" (I am sure I have it wrong!!)
for "mix" that i thought was intriguing

and unfortunately as I was cleaning up, I threw away the article... can't find it on the website, either!

any ideas at all?

I hope taking it out of context doesn't make it too difficult　to understand what I am asking for, but lately I've seen it used(もん), mostly at the end of a sentence and I think more for effect and/or emphasis for a true translation.

I haven't really noticed it before now, or actually, never gave it much thought... but now I am curious, could someone explain this to me in detail? ^.^
