A halvsie is a person with half Japanese heritage. The term was coined to replace the more general ‘hapa’. Halvsie was inspired by the Japanese ‘hafu’ used to describe offspring of a mixed marriage, and derived from the English ‘halves’.

The halvsie homepage is the landing page for all things half Japanese. Build as a hybrid between a blog, a twitter account, it’s the best place to begin any halvsie day.
